DFW International Airport honors KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flight 669 with a “shower of affection” outside of International Terminal D on March 30, 2008. The day-long celebration commemorated the historic Open Skies Agreement between the United States and European Union. DFW hailed the historic event “Super Sunday,” inaugurating new international service to London Heathrow via American Airlines and British Airways and Amsterdam Schiphol via KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

This was my first time photographing a professional event. Much of my shooting was indoors, but these photographs were my favorite of the day, catching the KLM flight 669 taxiing to its gate at International Terminal D.
